SK Rail is the specialised supplier of preowned track construction and maintenance machines. We are supported by over 40 years of experience and supplies into over 50 countries on 5 continents. Since the late 1970ies we are supplying mostly Plasser & Theurer as well as Matisa machines to track construction and track renewal sites after having made them fit to perform under the specific and very often challenging conditions in the various climate zones in the world, from deserts in the Middle East and Central Asia and Australia to the very remote tropical places of Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. But we also do have extensive experience to operate on track plant in densly populated areas in Asia and Europe and we have learnt to deal with problems of noise reduction and emission control.Over the last 20 years we also have been able to build a reputation for the supply of construction and maintenance machine for overhead catenary, both, rail bound and road/rail machines.

For construction & maintenance site logistics as well as for railway transport companies, private and industrial railway and work sidings SK Rail supplies preowned locomotives, from shunters and industrial locos from 120 – 1200 hp to mid range and big diesel locos from 1000 – 4000 hp.

Our service for industrial railways and work sidings also covers shunting vehicles and robots both new and second hand, road/rail or rail only, shunting gear and equipment such as scotches, wagon and track locks, re-railers, pushing rods, shunting signals, etc. as well as brake shoes, both metallic as well as composite non-metallic, for locos and wagons and disc brake pads.

Second hand wagons represent a growing share of turnover as well. Apart from typical wagons for construction and maintenance purposes such as ballast hopper wagons, flat wagons for transport of rails, track panels and sleepers, dirt wagons for ballast cleaning machines etc., SK Rail also supplies special purpose wagons for transport of different sorts of freight and goods. Hydraulic and pneumatic tipping wagons for bulk loads of aggregates as well as tank wagons for the chemical and petro-chemical industry are part of the supply programs.
